CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES
"Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my story.
In 2016, my life changed in an instant after a serious accident. Before that, I was incredibly active. I competed in triathlons, including Ironman events, and movement was a huge part of my identity. After the accident, I found myself living with chronic pain and struggling to do even the simplest things. Physically, it was difficult. Mentally, it was devastating.
One of the people who helped me begin rebuilding was Shannon OâGorman. She introduced me to the importance of strength training and, more importantly, modifications. At first, I was frustrated. In my mind, I still believed I should be able to do everything the way I always had. Accepting modifications felt like accepting defeat.
But I quickly learned that those modifications werenât holding me backâthey were helping me move forward. They allowed me to strengthen muscles that had weakened and atrophied and gave me a way to safely rebuild my body.
The years that followed were far from easy. I underwent numerous treatments, and every time I received one, it felt like I was taking two steps backward. Just as I would begin making progress, Iâd be sidelined again and have to start over. The physical setbacks were challenging, but the emotional toll was equally difficult.
At the same time, I was dealing with significant family stress, which only added to the weight I was carrying.
In January of 2022, my husband and I connected with Tanya because I had reached the heaviest weight of my life. I knew nutrition was playing a major role, and we were excited to start a new chapter. Unfortunately, life had other plans.
My mom became very ill, and I spent months by her side until she passed away. After losing her, I found myself trying to support my dad while managing my own grief, chronic pain, depression, and the symptoms of perimenopause. The hot flashes alone felt overwhelming.
Then, when I turned 50 in 2024, I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. It felt like one more challenge added to an already overflowing plate.
By the fall of 2024, I was at one of the lowest points of my life. A friend invited me to spend a night at Sparkling Hill. Instead of feeling excited, I felt embarrassed and ashamed. My hormones had affected my skin so badly that it looked dry and scaly. I was carrying more weight than ever before, and I hardly recognized the person looking back at me in the mirror.
That was my rock bottom.
Then, in the spring of 2025, I made a decision.
I decided enough was enough.
I reached out to Tania again, and it was one of the best decisions Iâve ever made.
This time, Tanya didnât just teach me about nutrition. She taught me how to be patient with myself. Through her guidance, her educational videos, and her constant encouragement, she introduced me to something that changed my mindset completely: the idea that improving by just one percent matters.
When youâre overwhelmed by pain, grief, hormones, health challenges, and life itself, one percent doesnât sound like much. But one percent is manageable. One percent is possible.
That one-percent mindset carried me through the difficult days, the setbacks, and the moments when I wanted to give up.
Today, I am not perfect. My nutrition isnât perfect. My workouts arenât perfect. But I show up. I do my best. And when I have a bad day, I no longer see it as failure.
I know that every positive choice counts. Every small step matters. Every one-percent improvement adds up over time.
If thereâs one thing I hope you take away from my story, itâs this: progress doesnât require perfection. Sometimes success is simply choosing not to quit.
No matter where you are today, no matter how many setbacks youâve faced, keep moving forward. One percent at a time."

âWe are all eating healthy now ..... I have also not had hot flashes for almost a year and I am sleeping 7-8 hours a night without a problem. So.... I would say life is great.â
TANYA
âWe are on week 2 and I'm noticing my bloating and constipation from holiday eating has improved, more energy, better sleeps and officially down 30lbs since the first time I did it. My dad noticed less bloating, more energy/not crashing after work and is down 5lbs after week 1!â
MAGGIE
âI used to be a carb/salt craver. I really don't notice anymore because I always feel satisfied. Just worked an event with lots of yummy food and drinks surrounding me but I honestly didn't even care or want anything. Went prepared with fuel for mid shift. Success!"
