I started dieting when I was 11 years oldāand I never really stopped. I tried every program out there, constantly worrying about what I ate and feeling guilty with every bite. In high school, my weight made me feel so ashamed that I skipped both junior and senior proms. I didnāt like how I looked, and I didnāt feel good in my own skin. By my twenties, I lost 100 pounds on a strict diet, but it came at a costāmultiple abdominal surgeries and a roller coaster of health issues. Over the years, my weight went up and down as I continued to eat less and exercise more (just like I was told to do) and battled chronic infections, digestive issues, fibromyalgia, brain fog, and constant fatigue. I kept trying, but nothing seemed to work. I felt like a failure.
My turning point was the day I broke down in the doctorās office after gaining 40 pounds in a year. After looking at my labs she said I was fine. As the tears came streaming down my face with that news I knewāI was not fine.
I needed to get off the diet roller coaster. I needed to stop obsessing about food. I needed to stop depriving myself. I needed to stop counting calories. I needed to learn why I was allowing the scale to dictate how I lived life. So I learned the science behind how the body actually works and what fuel it needs to work its best. With a new outlook on health and wellness, I lost 15 pounds in 6 months and woke up less and less during the night. I was finally working WITH my body. Iāve reduced my fibromyalgia flares, GI issues, chronic infections and continue to heal 1% each day. I finally feel and see that Iām doing the right thing.
Having learned about the science-backed concept of blood sugar stabilization from the PFC3 program, combined with my education and professional experience in counseling, nursing, psychology, and wound care, I knew I could help other women get off the diet roller coaster while managing their chronic pain and illnesses to become the best versions of themselves. As a Certified PFC3 Lifestyle Coach I love showing women what they get to do for their bodies and minds 1% each day and how that translates to transformation in their lives forever.

āDay 100 - I did it ... or WE did it (including my husband). We are looking forward to re-setting. I think everyone who has been following my journey the past 100 days knows the struggle we went through, the curve-balls and the negative/destructive emotions/feelings along with all that self-sabotage. But I stand here today truly convinced that the foot in the door 100 days ago with PFC3 has now become a part of my life. It's me fully submerged. This lifestyle surrounds me and equips me with skills I needed to get my life back. I am even more grateful for this community and the friends I have made along the way. This is the community I have been searching for but could never find. Thank you to my coach Elise Chapman ... even though thanking you is not enough. Time to continue this journey! Here we go.....ā
